This website is a labor of love of offering what I have developed as useful and valuable in helping firms increase their valuation from a strategic management viewpoint over the last thirty years. But I stand on the shoulders of great strategy professionals who have a definitive point of view about what drives firm valuation and will cite their work throughout this website. And this is constantly evolving and I hope improving moving forward.
This Knowledge Taxonomy (also aided by knowledge found in the section Our Secret Sauce and in Our World Animation) is the minimum necessary and sufficient ingredients for increasing firm valuation from my 30 years of experience in the field and academic training as a professor of strategy. This Knowledge Taxonomy (and Secret Sauce and Our World Animation) is what I think is behind or beneath any strategy frameworks, tools or technigues. It is thus hopefully root cause in nature. And it is agnostic to any particular approach to strategy and you can plug and play your own strategy frameworks and approaches “on top of” one or all the 15 Elements you find authorative and valuable.
Some of the concepts may be new to you. Egotistically I say welcome to the vanguard. But I am more sober than that. These ideas and approaches need refinement as I, and we, continue to learn going forward. But these have worked for me, and perhaps they can and will work for you in your firm or your consulting practice.
You will see though I offer some of my frameworks and tools and technigues, what we call Our Offerings, that is undergirded by the Knowledge Taxonomy for you to use or edit if you see value in them. This is your choice.
